The 8th edition of the Moscow International Exhibition Moto Park 2011 took place 1-3 April 2011 at the IEC CROKUS EXPO. Moto Park show has become the brightest event in Russian motor cycling industry. The exhibition highlights the industry’s main trends and traditionally brings together professionals and amateurs of motor cycling from the whole world. 94 companies participated in the exhibition this year. Moto Parkbrought together under one roof the manufacturers and distributors of motor bikes, accessories, and equipment. During the exhibition days the area near the third pavilion of Crocus Expo was crowded by bikers and motor cycling fans, coming to the exhibition with their extraordinary motor bikes. The visitors had an opportunity to see the motor bikes, choppers, scooters and ATV, as well as a wide range of world brand accessories and equipment. The main exposition of Moto Park this year was dedicated to the fashion trend of the season – the low capacity bikes. Moto Gratarepresented this year’s full model range of Peugeot scooters. ARK (FB TIM) demonstrated a new sports model of Yamasaki Scorpion moped specially designed for the European market. Eco bikes are another hit of the season. Ekomotors made its debut at Motor Park, representing the suppliers and manufacturers of environment friendly machines. The company demonstrated the electrical tricycles for active leisure, electric scooters with 2kW capacity that could compete with their gasoline counterparts, 4-wheel scooters for roofed areas and parks. Thinck City, the first officially certified electric car for public roads, raised the great interest of the visitors, especially of women. Among the manufacturers the most remarkable stand was represented by legendary Harley-Davidson. The visitors had a chance to estimate the whole model line including exclusive low-volume CVOs. In the outdoor area the visitors were offered to try the unique Jumpstart unit, imitating Harley-Davidson ridethat could try everyone even without the cycling experience. Among the new models there was a new model of legendary Jawa - Jawa Dakar 650 and 250 cc sports bike with modern design, represented at the stand of Minsk. The 5th Moscow Custom&Tuning Show and Russian Customizing Championship traditionally took place within Moto Park 2011 with record number participants: 41 unique motor bikes were represented, and the exhibitors’ geography surprised even the Championship organisers. The participants came from Belorussia, Ukraine, Latvia, Ukhta, Bashkiria, Perm and Tsaikovsky. Moscow had never seen so many new faces and a variety bikes presented. Custom&Tuning Showwas also a platform for demonstration of tuning atelier achievements. One of the brightest stands atMoto Park 2011 was the booth of Motogarage, demonstrating California Side Carstrikes and famous Gold Wing Matryoshka. The stands of the leading custom companies Fine Custom Mechanics andYuri Shif Customsdemonstrated the bikes that wereamong world’s top 10 best bikes according to the results of the last year World Championship in Strugis (South Dakota). Indian Motorcyclesdemonstrated their newest models, spicing the presentation with the real Indian show. The variety of interesting proposals for tuning and exclusive equipment, and the presence of all the major Russian customizing specialists made people spending at Moto Park more than one hour, and Total Flames, the general sponsor of Custom & Tuning Show, introduced the world's first biker cigar brand and created amazing warm atmosphere at the show. By the way, at the stand Total Flames anyone could roll an ownflavoured cigar under the strict supervision of the torcedor. On Saturday the Championship participants supervised the jury’s work. Among the juries this year there wereNil Blaber, AMD representative, the organizer of the World Customizing Championship (UK), Yuri Shif, who this year was out of competition, and Alexander Astapov, representative of Moto magazine. By the way,Moto together with Enjoy Motocompany represented in the Custom & Tuning Show this year their nomination for the best custom with a budget of 5000 euros - a trip for two to the United States. The custom culture in Russia is flourishing. Talented masters are ready to move away from the boring standards, the customers find each other. The result can traditionally be seen at our Custom & Tuning Show withinMoto Park exhibition. During three exhibition days the exhibitors and visitors of Moto Park 2011 got the energy boost and plenty of bright emotions and impressions. The exhibition as usual had a great response among the journalists and the press, both central and regional. According to the unanimous opinion of the exhibition participants, the motor cycling market in Russia shows today the gradual stabilization, and many of them are eagerly waiting for the Moto Park 2012.
